Boston Butts Barbecue for Baseball Fundraiser

The UAH baseball team will sell smoked Boston Butts for $35 on Nov. 23-24. Local barbecue and catering company Fork Down and Pork will cook the butts. All of the proceeds go toward the UAH baseball team, which starts its season on Feb. 7, 2010.

Basketball Team Falls to Vanderbilt

The men’s basketball team played Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., on Nov. 10, losing 56-91 to the Division I Commodores.
This was an exhibition game, which is an unofficial preseason game. In fact, UAH is a Division II team in the Gulf South Conference, while Vanderbilt is in the South East Conference.

Men’s Soccer Falls to West Florida

After finishing its season with a record of 6-7-4 and a Gulf South Conference record of 3-0-2, the men’s soccer team competed in the GSC Tournament Nov. 6-8.

Cross Country Teams Compete in NCAA Regional Competition

The UAH men’s and women’s cross country teams ran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Southeast Regional on Nov. 7 in Dover, Fla.
