Second “Geode” for Salmon Library

On Monday April 7, students, faculty, and friends witnessed the official unveiling of a conspicuous sphere sitting in front of the Salmon Library – “Geode,” a sculpture by Harold “Skip” Van Houten. Van Houten, an artist from Mississippi, birthed Geode nearly twenty years ago with a $10,000 commission awarded by The Arts Council.

In a recent issue, The Exponent reported a series of offenses from the campus crime statistics for November and December. Among them was sexual abuse.

With the closing of the Von Braun Research Hall computer lab, Salmon Library will now take responsibility for providing 24-hour computer access to students.
